Little Book of Monster's first 'teaser' trailer was first screened at the Academy of Art Universities annual Fall show in 2012. This was the first time the project was revealed to anyone not directly involved in the making of it.
This trailer was comprised of new animation created entirely for the trailer.

In the first full trailer, actual animation from the film was used. This trailer was used to announce that it would have an official class attached to the making of the film.
